Mineral Resources Storefront The project began with a modest yet ambitious goal: to transform a small, underutilized office building into a vibrant, fully occupied contributor to downtown life. A tired facade previously obscured by exposed aggregate was stripped away and replaced with red brick - echoing neighboring historic structures and restoring a sense of continuity with the building's original character. Existing Art Deco buttresses were celebrated rather than concealed. Clad in Corten steel, they were enhanced with custom integral light sconces, creating a dynamic vertical rhythm that is especially striking when illuminated at night. The storefronts were redesigned to fully open, allowing tenant spaces to spill out onto the sidewalk and engage the boulevard beyond - blurring the boundary between interior and exterior and encouraging activity during warmer months. Transom windows were added to provide an organized structured framework for tenant signage, contributing to a cohesive streetscape. Arched polycarbonate canopies supported by wood beams hover above the storefronts, merging rustic materiality with modern form. The resulting composition is a fresh take on the Western boutique vernacular - contemporary yet deeply rooted in local identity. While only one of the interior tenant finishes was part of the initial project – the Wyoming
Symphony offices - a design approach of stripping the interior down to the structure established
a president for the remaining tenant spaces.
